Union Hill was a town that existed in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States, from 1864 to 1925. Union Hill was incorporated as a town by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 29, 1864, from portions of Union Township (later to be known as West New York). Portions of North Bergen Township were added in 1866. The town was reincorporated on March 27, 1874. On January 1, 1925, Union City was formed from the merger Union Hill and West Hoboken Township. Hand-colored Original Plan. This picture is extremely hard to find, as the American Architect and Building News not only had a very small circulation during that time, but very few were actually preserved as this has been. It measures 13 by 17.75 inches. Has a mat border and foam core backing (not attached to the picture). The whole picture measures 16 by 21 inches (with border). Finely detailed and beautifully hand-colored. Shrink wrapped.
